Celebrate the holiday season with a special tour of the Historic New England’s Phillips House. This 40 minute tour will focus on the way a prominent Salem family celebrated through the month of December. View original Christmas cards, shopping lists, wrapping paper, and gifts that were exchanged. A limited time exhibition will show young Stevie Phillips’ letter to Santa and the gifts he received in 1915.
The Phillips House is located on 34 Chestnut Street. Tours are available on Saturday and Sunday through December, on the half-hour, from 11-4. This special tour is $5.00 for adults and free to Historic New England members and Salem residents with a valid ID.
The gift shop is also open. All jewelry is 15% off and holiday items are on sale as well. Historic New England members can receive 10-15% off with their membership card.
